The Partagas Culebras is a unique and intriguing cigar, produced exclusively for La Casa del Habano (LCDH) stores. This cigar is characterized by its distinctive shape, featuring three panetelas twisted together, resembling a bundle of snakes, hence the name "Culebras," which means "snakes" in Spanish.
The origins of the Culebras shape are steeped in various theories. One popular belief is that cigar factory workers were allowed to take home three cigars per day. To prevent these from being resold, the cigars were twisted together, making them easily identifiable. The Partagas Culebras follows this tradition and is crafted to reflect the rich heritage and innovative spirit of the Partagas brand, which has been producing fine cigars for over 175 years.
Each cigar in the Culebras bundle measures 5.7 inches (146 mm) in length with a 39-ring gauge. These cigars are hand-rolled using premium tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region, ensuring a high-quality smoking experience. The twisting process not only gives the cigar its unique appearance but also impacts the draw and flavor, making each smoke distinct.
